GradWeb is delighted to have been selected to develop the student recruitment advertising Campaign for Logica’s Sponsored Degree Programme, after having previously worked with Logica for a number of seasons delivering Graduate Recruitment Services including conducting telephone interviews for shortlisted candidates.
The Sponsored Degree Programme, now in its third year, offers a three year course where approximately 30 students study for a BA Hons degree in Business Management at the University of Winchester. Students follow a structured academic timetable of one day per week on the university campus and the remaining four days working with Logica on projects across the UK.
The unique nature of the programme provides exciting opportunities to blend working on live Logica projects with obtaining a business management and IT degree. It is central to the success of the programme that the right people are targeted, namely those who have completed school or college with a minimum of 300 UCAS points and have a genuine interest in business and technology. Candidates need to recognise the benefits of the programme and be committed to an alternative approach to the traditional full time university career path.
Logica ran a competitive tender at the end of 2009 and on the 20
th January selected GradWeb to manage the programme’s recruitment advertising campaign with
Intelligent Attraction. The next steps for Logica included achieving an online presence and ensuring attendance at local college recruitment fairs was effective through brand communications.
As a result of tight timescales GradWeb’s Attraction team were operating within a one week timeframe to create the employer brand recruitment advertising marketing materials for the imminent recruitment fairs, scheduled to start on 28
th January. This included the designing and building of a website;
www.workatlogica.co.uk, data capture material for registering candidate interest and identifying appropriate media sources to display and promote the programme.
With the final closing date for 2010 applications scheduled for May 1st there is a chance to evolve the current recruitment advertising design into a full concept, enabling GradWeb to showcase its creative talent whilst providing Logica with a campaign both on and off campus. This will incorporate interactive material and information leaflets along with targeted online media and a fully conceptualised candidate micro-site. The purpose being to introduce candidates to a programme with a difference.
The Recruitment Account Manager at Logica commented “Logica were very pleased with how quickly GradWeb understood our recruitment advertising requirement and impressed by the speed at which they were able to deliver. We look forward to continuing our relationship with them as the attraction process picks up speed and we continue to target high-calibre candidates for 2010 and 2011.”
